Apple Cider Cups

When I get onion soup, I always order it in a bread bowl. Mousse? In a chocolate bowl, please. Now here's an apple cup to serve your cider in. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • apples (one per person)
  • lemon juice
  • apple cider
  • cinnamon sticks, star anise, and/or cloves

Directions

  1. Use a knife to slice off the top of each apple
  2. Cut around the apple's outline, leaving a slightly thick edge
  3. Spoon out insides
  4. Lightly cover apples with lemon juice to keep from turning brown
  5. Pour apple cider into the carved out apples
  6. If desired, add cinnamon sticks, star anise, and/or clover
