Perfecting Your Wedding's Seating Chart

On the day that you finally tie the knot, the last thing you need is your best friend freaking out because you put her at the same table as her ex-boyfriend. But the thing is, where else were you going to put him? Don't worry. Luckily, there is a degree of etiquette when it comes to wedding seating arrangements, and if you follow these few tips, everything should go much smoother. To begin, make sure everyone is surrounded by at least one or two people they know and like. There's nothing worse than being alone at a table filled with people who all know each other, effectively leaving you out of the conversation. Having said that, don't take this too far and separate tables based entirely on who knows who. Encourage mingling by throwing guests of a similar age or vocation together. Additionally, the bridal table should be easily located and within everyone's view. Couples have also been known to ditch the traditional arrangements and instead leave a pair of seats open at every table, allowing them to wander around and check in with party attendees. Remember - your guests have come to celebrate your marriage, and they're going to want to see you on the most important day in your life.
